Terms and Conditions

Cancellation/No-Show

There will be NO MAKE UP LESSON provided for cancellations made within 12 hours of the lesson.

There will be NO MAKE UP LESSONS for cancellations made beyond the entitled credit.

The only exception to this is in the case of students or their direct family with an official Medical Certificate provided (within 2 days). For MC cases only (of the student him/herself), lesson package can be extended by 1 week. For Family sick cases (with MC provided) students need to arrange a regular make-up lesson within 2 weeks.

Regular make-up lessons must be scheduled within the package period or within 14 days from the original lesson date, outside your regular lesson time. If your assigned coach is unavailable for any other timings, you have to book the lesson with another coach, otherwise there will be no further provision of slots. Changing coaches for makeup lessons, may result in an additional charge based on the coach's tier.


SINGLE / Trial / Adhoc Lessons

Online Booking of lessons is available up to 1 month in advance, with completed payment required to confirm the time. If you'd like to book lessons for dates beyond 1 month, please contact us via email for assistance.

Cancellation/Reschedule: You are entitled 1 make-up lesson for a cancellation made at least 12 hours before the original lesson time, with the makeup lesson to be scheduled within 14 days. Switching to another coach for a lesson may incur an additional charge, which is based on the coach's tier.

Refund policy: No refunds are available once payment has been made.

Within 12 Hours Cancellation: No refund or makeup lesson provided. However, you can receive 1 feedback session from the coach if you submit a video of the singing within 14 days.

LESSON PACKAGE 

Lesson Fees of each new package must be paid by 48 hours before the new package starts to secure your slots. Lessons will be suspended until payment of fees and/or the late payment fee is settled and can cause losing the regular lesson slot.

1) Standard Monthly Package

Minimum 4 Lessons : The Monthly Package includes a minimum of 4 lessons within a month. You can enjoy a 10% discounted price.

Up to 2 rescheduling: You are entitled to 2 free cancellation/rescheduling opportunities with a minimum 12-hour notice, except for special circumstances (MC provided).

Refund Policy: If you request a refund before the 1st lesson, you'll receive a 90% refund. After the 1st lesson, no refunds will be issued.

Renewal of Package: We will be reserving your lessons slots in advance, and send you the invoice 1 week before the first lesson of your new package. Complete the payment minimum 2 days to confirm the lessons. Non-payment will result in cancellation of the booked lesson.

2) Happy Hour Monthly Package (Only Junior Coach)

Minimum 4 Lessons: Happy Hour Package applies for the lessons booked Monday-Friday early hours- (last lesson ending by 3pm) The Monthly Package includes a minimum of 4 lessons within a month. You can enjoy a 15% discounted price.

Cancellation and Rescheduling: You are entitled to 1 free cancellation/rescheduling opportunities with a minimum 12-hour notice, except for special circumstances (MC).

Refund Policy During the Package Period: If you request a refund before the 1st lesson, you'll receive a 90% refund. After the 1st lesson, no refunds will be issued.

3) Value Package (3x monthly lesson package)

1 Extra Free Lesson: A value packages includes a minimum of 12 lessons within 3 months (equivalent to 14 weeks). You will enjoy one extra lesson, and three studio rental credits (for standard value).

Rescheduling: You can reschedule your lessons up to 3(happy hour value) or 6(standard value) times with a minimum 12-hour notice, except in cases of special circumstances (MC).

Refund Policy During the Package Period: If you request a refund before the 1st lesson, you'll receive a 90% refund of the payment for the 12 lessons.

After the 1st through the 8th lessons, you are eligible for a 70% refund of the remaining lesson fees for the 12 lessons.

After completing the 8th lesson, no refunds will be provided.

Renewal of Package: We will be reserving your lessons slots in advance, and send you the invoice 1 week before the first lesson of your new package. Complete the payment minimum 2 days to confirm the lessons. Non-payment will result in cancellation of the booked lesson.

Guidelines for A Long break / Holiday Etc.

Preparation for Absences: If you anticipate that you won't be able to attend 4 lessons within the upcoming month, we recommend booking single (one-on-one) lessons instead. In the event that you are unable to attend physical lessons due to school examinations or other commitments, your lessons can be converted into online lessons.

Travel during the Package Period: If you need to cancel lessons during the package period due to last-minute travel or other plans extending current package period, please notify your coach as soon as possible. You'll have the option to convert the lesson to an online format, switch to a different lesson hour, or opt for a makeup lesson of half the duration in the upcoming package period (within the make-up lesson limit, only if the packages renews).

Reserving Lesson Slot During Extended Breaks: If you plan to take a break for more than 2 weeks and wish to reserve your lesson slot for your return, a payment must be completed to secure your lesson slot.

BEING LATE

If the student is running late for their lesson, the class will still end on time so as to not affect later classes. Your assistance to arrive on time and to notify us if you are running late would be greatly appreciated.

If the coach is running late for the lesson for any longer than 10 minutes, please inform the school admin. The lesson will still end on time, however, students will get a credit to use on the following package.

*Credit Amount: 10 minutes: $15, 10-20 minutes: $20, (Beyond 20 min is considered a NO-SHOW and an additional MAKE-UP LESSON TO BE SCHEDULED)

CANCELLATION BY TVS / COACH

There may be instances when your regular coach is sick or unavailable (annual leave, etc). In these cases, we will let you know of your cancelled lessons at the earliest hour (12 hours before the lesson) and take compensatory measures. We reserve the right to offer your lesson or a make-up lesson with another vocal coach when your coach is not available. We seek your understanding in both cases.

Please refer to the table below for our cancellation policies, when cancellation of lessons is initiated by the school or coaches.

1) PUBLIC HOLIDAY / ANNUAL LEAVE / STUDIO CLOSURE

If the student's regular lessons fall below the minimum requirement due to public holidays, studio closures, or scheduled coach leaves, we will extend the package's validity period to accommodate these situations. Students can opt for a lesson with another coach instead.

2) CANCELLATION BEFORE 12 HRS

Students can opt for a lesson with another coach available. Else, a make-up lesson will be given to the student within the package period (or 2 weeks from the date of lesson cancelled).

For more than 1 rescheduling by the assigned coach within 1 month (except for sick leave with MC provided), an extra half-duration lesson will be provided within 1 month.

3) CANCELLATION WITHIN 12 HRS

If the original coach cancels a lesson due to sick leave or compassionate leave (with a medical certificate provided), the lesson may be rescheduled with another available coach. However, if the student prefers to arrange a makeup lesson with the original coach, this option will be available within 2 weeks upon the coach's return.

In cases where the coach cancels a lesson with last-minute notice, an extra full-duration lesson will be provided within 1 month.

ON-OFFLINE LESSON CONVERSION

All IN-STUDIO lessons within the existing package will be conducted as per normal schedule ONLINE via Zoom Cloud Meetings during the period of restriction or lockdown or by request of the student. There will be no postponing of the lessons. 

Should there be a situation where it is impossible for the student to attend online lessons, students must provide the valid reason and the school will take necessary measures. In this case, we reserve the right to let go of the existing slots, and make-up lessons should be arranged within 2 weeks of resumption of in-studio lessons. Make-up lessons might not be available with the previous coach.


COPYRIGHT

All materials used in The Vocal Studio Singapore are copyrighted. No part of the materials may be copied or reproduced in any form or by any means without the prior permission of the principal.

Recording of the exercises, or any part of the lesson is only possible upon the coach’s permission and must not be the entire lesson.

We reserve the right to take pictures or videos of the students during classes, recording sessions, or performances for keeping track of our students’ progress, to provide better feedback and for purposes of professional discussion. We may seek your permission prior to the use of your pictures or videos for publicity and promotional purposes.

COMMUNICATION

For all communication related to scheduling or lesson enquiries outside the class time, students MUST communicate through school and shall respect the schools’ operating hours. It is to protect the privacy of both coaches and students, as well as aligning all communication channels.

The coaches are not responsible to provide their personal contact number or respond to your personal questions or enquiries outside their lesson hours.

LESSON TERMINATION

Discontinuing the lessons is not possible once the package has started. Refunds will not be provided. Students can notify the school to cancel the lessons from the following package.

Students who are rude or threatening will not be re-enrolled past their currently ongoing and pre-paid lessons and we reserve the right to discontinue enrolment when students have breached our terms and conditions. Students have the right to terminate the lesson due to the coach or school’s threatening behaviours or breaching of terms and conditions.

If you are unable to attend your regular lesson timing for more than 2 weeks, we may not be able to continue to reserve this fixed time slot for you. This is because we have a waitlist for students who can attend each week and we need to make this available to those students who are able to commit to their lessons. Should you want to reserve your lesson slot, the full payment of the following package should be made in advance.
