TRIAL LESSON / SINGLE LESSON
Payment for a single lesson or recording service must be made within 48 hours of the booking of the lesson via Bank Transfer, PayPal (or credit card). Lesson slots without payment completion will not be kept reserved. You will receive a confirmation email with further payment details.
MONTHLY LESSON PACKAGE
The new package will automatically be renewed unless given notice from students. Lesson Fees of each new package must be paid by 48 hours before the new package starts to secure your slots. Lessons will be suspended until payment of fees and/or the late payment fee is settled.
We have a strict “no credit policy” and reserve the right to refuse to teach a student until the fee is paid in full.
Reserving slots for future lessons would be available by paying the full amount of the package in advance.
Your package will be valid for 1 month from the first lesson (except for Flexi Package_2 months).
In case of cancellation and rescheduling of lessons, it needs to happen within 14 days (in validity period) outside of the original lesson hour.
REFUND
Once the package has started, there will be no refund for unused or cancelled lessons.
In the case of inevitable termination of lessons, we will issue a voucher to compensate for the unattended lessons with a validity period of maximum 2 months. The voucher can be transferred to another person.
BEING LATE
If the student is running late for their lesson, the class will still end on time so as to not affect later classes. Your assistance to arrive on time and to notify us if you are running late would be greatly appreciated.
If the coach is running late for the lesson for any longer than 10 minutes, please inform the school admin. The lesson will still end on time, however, students will get a credit to use on the following package.
*Credit Amount: 10 minutes: $15, 10-20 minutes: $20, (Beyond 20 min is considered a NO-SHOW and an additional MAKE-UP LESSON TO BE SCHEDULED)
CANCELLATION BY STUDENTS
We understand that most late cancellations are due to factors like work, school commitments and other things out of your control, however we ask for your understanding that the school and your vocal coach have already set aside this time slot for the day for your lesson. If you cannot attend your lesson, the Vocal Coach will still have to be remunerated, and therefore we will still charge for the lesson.

1) CANCELLATION REQUEST MUST BE MADE BEFORE 24 HRS
One make-up lesson will need to be taken WITHIN 2 WEEKS from the date of lesson cancelled and it maybe with another vocal coach if your regular coach is not available.
Make up lessons should not be carried over to the following week's lesson.
Single lesson - 1 free make-up lesson
Happy Hour - no free make-up lesson ($10 for each make up lesson)
Standard Package - 1 free make up lesson/ package. ($10 for extra make up lesson)
Flexi Package - rescheduling provided only within validity period.
Only due to a specific case when the 2 weeks make-up lesson slot is impossible to be arranged (travel etc), there will be 1 week extension of the package ($20).
2) CANCELLATION WITHIN 24 HRS (NO-SHOW) : FORFEIT
The coach will be sending exercises or notes to you via Beyond Class, and there will be NO MAKE-UP lesson provided by the coach.
The only exception to this is in the case of students or their direct family with a Medical Certificate provided (within 2 days).
We will provide a studio room if you wish to come in and practice when there is availability. You can enquire the availability of empty studio.
For MC cases only (of the student him/herself), lesson package can be extended by 1 week. Students need to arrange a regular make-up lesson within 2 weeks for their Family’s MC case.
CANCELLATION BY TVS / COACH
There may be instances when your regular coach is sick or unavailable (annual leave, etc). In these cases, we will let you know of your cancelled lessons at the earliest hour (24 hours before the lesson) and take compensatory measures. We reserve the right to offer your lesson or a make-up lesson with another vocal coach when your coach is not available. We seek your understanding in both cases.
Please refer to the table below for our cancellation policies, when cancellation of lessons is initiated by the school or coaches.
1) PUBLIC HOLIDAY / ANNUAL LEAVE / SICK LEAVE
We will postpone the remaining lessons by 1 week. (We can also arrange a makeup lesson on another date or book a lesson with another coach.)
2) CANCELLATION BEFORE 24 HRS
One make-up lesson will be given to the student WITHIN 2 WEEKS from the date of lesson cancelled.
For more than 1 rescheduling by coaches within 1 month (except for MC case), there will be $10 credit provided for the following package.
ON-OFFLINE LESSON CONVERSION (COVID)
All IN-STUDIO lessons within the existing package will be conducted as per normal schedule ONLINE via Zoom Cloud Meetings during the period of restriction or lockdown or by request of the student. There will be no postponing of the lessons.
Should there be a situation where it is impossible for the student to attend online lessons, students must provide the valid reason and the school will take necessary measures. In this case, we reserve the right to let go of the existing slots, and make-up lessons should be arranged within 2 weeks of resumption of in-studio lessons. Make-up lessons might not be available with the previous coach.
COPYRIGHT
All materials used in The Vocal Studio Singapore are copyrighted. No part of the materials may be copied or reproduced in any form or by any means without the prior permission of the principal.
Recording of the exercises, or any part of the lesson is only possible upon the coach’s permission and must not be the entire lesson.
We reserve the right to take pictures or videos of the students during classes, recording sessions, or performances for keeping track of our students’ progress, to provide better feedback and for purposes of professional discussion. We may seek your permission prior to the use of your pictures or videos for publicity and promotional purposes.
BEYOND CLASS
All lesson reviews and assignments will be given by the coaches at the end of the lesson. There will not be an extra charge on students’ side for the use of the app. If students do not wish to use the app, the coaches are NOT responsible for providing the lesson reviews through other means. Upon the termination of the lessons, the school will deactivate students’ accounts and there will be no access available.
COMMUNICATION
For all communication related to scheduling or lesson enquiries outside the class time, students MUST communicate through school and shall respect the schools’ operating hours. It is to protect the privacy of both coaches and students, as well as aligning all communication channels.
The coaches are not responsible to provide their personal contact number or respond to your personal questions or enquiries outside their lesson hours, other than through BEYOND CLASS FEEDBACK.
LESSON TERMINATION
Discontinuing the lessons is not possible once the package has started. Refunds will not be provided. Students can notify the school to cancel the lessons from the following package.
Students who are rude or threatening will not be re-enrolled past their currently ongoing and pre-paid lessons and we reserve the right to discontinue enrolment when students have breached our terms and conditions. Students have the right to terminate the lesson due to the coach or school’s threatening behaviours or breaching of terms and conditions.
If you are unable to attend your regular lesson timing for more than 2 weeks, we may not be able to continue to reserve this fixed time slot for you. This is because we have a waitlist for students who can attend each week and we need to make this available to those students who are able to commit to their lessons. Should you want to reserve your lesson slot, the full payment of the following package should be made in advance.
