COLORS OF VOICES: MULTICULTURE VOCAL PERFORMANCE
In 2023, The Vocal Studio Singapore embarked on a new fun project for introducing various cultures within Singapore to the students through multiple voices of singers!
As we have enquiries coming in from interest schools and teachers, here are some more information we have for you!
The purpose of this performance is to infuse creativity and love for singing for young students as well as introducing the beauty of multiple cultures through singing.
Through the performance session, we hope to provide students with
* Exposure to various genres and cultures through music performance
* Appreciation on the benefit of singing (for health, well-being)
* Promoting various vocal artists based in SG
The performance is the time for audience to enjoy, participate, and learn!
During the performance session, they will be
* Sharing about the song, and their stories related to the song or theme of the performance
* Showcasing original / other songs that they specialise (Pop, Korean, Gypsy, Jazz, Soul R&B, Ballad, Malay, Rock, Latin etc)
* Inviting students to learn part of the song - melody, rhythm or lyrics, vocal techniques of the song
In our past performances, students got to meet some awesome vocalists including Hanna Ma (Kpop, Broadway), Boyana Fabel (Gypsy, Jazz, Pop), NyaLi (Soul, R&B, Evergreen), Fathin Amira (R&B Soul, Malay), Nino Gomez (Latin), and more!
The artists who will be performing are the ones who lived the experience of reaching out to many different worlds thanks to the music! Through their life and career, the singers gained valuable experiences of letting their own light shine while expanding their perspectives and making friends with multiple cultures.
Through the performance, we hope to share the spirit of appreciating each one’s true colors and voices while celebrating the diversity of culture & friendship. Hopefully the performance will serve as a fun, educational, and inspiring session for the young students ❤️
